A Super Multi Coated Takumar 35mm 3.5 Lens + Caps M42 Screw Fit
went for £81.99 yesterday??? What sort of idiot puts on £81.99
anyway he would have lost to someone bidding £82.00

No snipes either (probably too high) just a few idiotic bidders
If you click on Bid History then show Automatic Bids you can
see that someone put a big max. bid on of £80 the day before
and a bidder with 95 wins kept coming back putting on bids a
few pounds higher each time and not winning any of them.

Yeah, I am watching that 35 too.

Ebay seems to have gone like that for many items these days, I think that some people assume because its on an ebay auction it must be cheaper than a retailer - more fool them for next checking!!

I don't really understand why anyone wants earlier 35mm lenses now the DA 35/2.4 and 35/2.8 Macro Ltd are available.
Ok, I have a Super Tak and Pentax-M 35mm f2.8 too but I'm using them on film bodies where the DA lens isn't much help (lacks an aperture ring), I wouldn't pay £80 for them. I strongly suspect it's due to collectors who just want to complete the set, rather than being after lenses to use.

And the same is true for Amazon - sometimes the best price (and certainly, good delivery, especially if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber as I am) but often not - and by some way!

K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)
