I use a canon g5 and pro 1. a Pentax ds2 and soon a k10.
Also a super program and an ae1 for school.
for what it's worth, the pentax ds2 is my favorite....but the canons are quieter and can focus in the dark, and still get used at every wedding we shoot.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I can forgive the istDS for slightly noiser AF or jpegs. The camera sits so well in the hand and the control layout is good, even without 2 wheel controls for shutter/aperture. Added to that is a good viewfinder and backward lens compatibility.
At this stage, I do not need anything more from a dSLR but would love an affordable digital rangefinder similar to an Olympus RC or 35SP - APS sized sensor, fast, fixed lens, no zoom, fits in a large pocket, manual focus, manual controls.

You can really see the difference in the companies when you look at lenses like the Pentax 40mm 2.8 Limited and Canon 50mm 1.2 L, or the decision to use sensor based shake reduction or lens based image stabilization.
I am really hoping the rumor is true that their will be both 7D and 3D 35mm cameras coming early next year, I really want to get a large viewfinder back again.
Is there anyone else here that does something similar to this?
