On Sunday 22 September, a Dragon Boat race day was held at Exeter Quay in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance. A small contingent from the Newton Abbot Photographic Club went looking for some shots. These images give an impression of the activities and people involved in this good cause. All taken with a Pentax K-5ii and DA18-135 ED AL IF DC WR and DA55-300 ED lenses on a rather dull day.

No 4 is great for its low down angle and perspective! I like the ones where we feel we're peeking into the gatherings of people before the event ... a nice documentary series, and you've made the most of the fairly dull light and colours too.

Agree, very well documented and looks lots of fun, which is evident with the fella on the right of pic 2! He was seriously getting himself ready and in the zone

Thanks, Gareth. I didn't notice the fella in picture 2 until I processed the image and then I wondered if he was offering me physical violence. On reflection, I prefer your interpretation.
