I have posted this before, but this is a new edit. Felis Silvestris, the Scottish Wildcat.

Should that not be "Felix Silvestris" ...?

A mean looking cat there... Great work filling the frame and getting such sharp clarity!

Perhaps it can be spelled both ways Nigel but the most common one seems to be Felis.

I did not have to travel far to capture this chap. British wildlife centre in Surrey. It is a picture from a couple of years ago with a bit of new processing.

Lovely photo! Really well captured.

Felis is correct. A moggy is Felis Cattus, the cat family is felidae. Felis Sylvestre Grampa is sometimes used to distinguish the Scottish Wildcat from the related European Wildcat.
