Now I'm undecided, some of the set work better in black and white for me, particularly the broken window but I think the first one is better in colour. Either way it's a great set of pictures.

Thanks David,
I never know how people are going to react to something like this. It's a bit "alternative". It's out there, though.
Your comments are much appreciated.

i do prefer them in black and white makes the shots so much more atmospheric i like the popped colour one too but maybe would have just coloured the 'worn out absorbers' sign but very nice shots as i said wish there was somewhere like that round here that you could actually get too

I prefer the colour set, numbers 1 & 2 for me, the interior shot shows what destruction occurs in these buildings after the company has gone bust due to outside influences.

I like the popped shot but agree that just the shock absorbers sign would work better.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Again, thanks for all the input, folks!
(Kris, on a totally unrelated matter...in my attic, I've just discovered a Zorki 4 range finder camera which once belonged to my father. It seems to have been constructed out of bits of Russian military hardware. It has a fabric focal plane shutter and smells like a tanning factory! (My son, ever the wit, thought it was last used to document the Battle of Staligrad!)
Would you happen to know what lens mount is used: the little f2 lens rattles around in my M42 adapter? (I know you've got some Soviet stuff.)
Thanks in anticipation,
Andrew

I think it is a Leica L mount fitting. Hefty would know for sure. K.

Thanks Kris, I sent a PM to Hefty to confirm your thoughts.
Thanks Emma, Got there in the end! This place took some finding, I can tell you. Imagine what the aftermath of the last recession would have looked like (1980s) there must have been any number of places like this, even in your area. I remember poignant shots of old steelworks and coal mines in the Sunday supplements...
Kind regards,
A.

Nicely shot Andrew....there is definitely a sense of space in these. The light is bright, you get to see the detail and the angles convery the abandon very well. Good shots!!!

Andrew really nice set
One one in colour for me the rest in B&W
try the window with a tighter crop so you just have the window as a frame
I'm not going for a walk with you

I like these as well. I prefer the color set.
I think the interior closeups work better than the documentary wide shots. I have a feeling you added them to the set to give an idea of what the place really looks like, but, taken as a set, I'm not sure they're necessary in that regard.
That said, I do like them. #1 is my fave.
