Nice pun Darlene...hehehe.

I think this is a fresh topic.....I remember we had one on reading and writing, but not books!

I will put my thinking cap on...and if I get nothing great then I will take a shot of a book....just plain and simple.

Hope you get tons and tons of entries....alway nice to earn your "First Place"

Wow Glyn, I just cleaned out my library, and it looks freakishly similar to yours. I am also guessing it is huge in compairison to the few in your photo, I know mine is. ps. have you read Mary Doria Russels "The Sparrow".... if not, do.
....to capture with my K-x what my eye beholds and my imagination seeks...

We have always had books in our house and they are constantly getting out of hand . The shot just shows one of my shelves but my collection is insignificant compared to my wife's who, in the past, has worked in libraries and is a prolific reader and collector.

We have not yet succumbed to an e-reader. Part of the pleasure of having books is not just reading them but living with them.

For the picture I wanted to shoot along a shelf and the biggest problem I had was finding an example with enough free space to stand the tripod .

That was a great book shoot Glyn....and hey, congrats on your room winnings too.

RPLSF, you should take a photo of your books (not for the comp) and share them here...Oh Glyn, you did not answer RPLSF question about "The Sparrow". I just read the review...sounds awesome...off to the Library in the morning, even though I was just there Friday

Apologies all round, I have just read the reviews as well. It sounds like an unusual and interesting concept. That the author has come here from writing scientific and technical manuals also appeals to me and so I have added it to my Christmas wish-list .

Many thanks,

Glyn
