Discussion for Fortnightly Competition # 43 - Faces

I've not managed to get an answer to "1. Side views or silhouettes? Are they acceptable" I have asked again.

I have gleaned: "I really would only like to see face that are already there...Not one we set up."

Hello Doug...I don't believe that Darlene will be reading this thread, as Judges like to be unbias, not swayed by others opinion. I think you should PM her with your question. Unless you are saying that you did PM her and that was her answer?
If that was her answer then I would say yes....Side views and silhouettes that are faces are in!(sorry about misunderstanding you before:blush

I drove around Saturday looking for a house that had two upper windows, a Door in the middle, but below the windows and some steps...hoping it would look like a face! (windows as eyes...the door as a nose.....the stairs as teeth or mouth) No LUCK!!!

Oh I see. I would say that you are approved for your silhouettes. Did you feel answered?

I am still in the hunting mode myself. I am finding it challanging and very fun indeed!

There is a particular rock outcrop that I think looks like a face. But this is open to interpretation, I might get carted off to a clinic. I'll pop up there and see what it looks like in different light.

However if another face opportunity presents itself, I hope to be AF locked and free memory loaded.

I didn't make it back to the place I had in mind. So no entry!!!!

Definitely looks like the side view of a face to me, although the background is a bit distracting.

Worth another visit, if possible.

I think its pre Nokton. Apply the Nokton and the busy background bokehs away.
