Logitech Illuminated keyboard by any chance?

Yep, well spotted. It is the cheaper wired, rather than wireless, version. I think it is a lovely keyboard. It has a nice feel and the illuminated keys work well in subdued lighting. However it was still rather expensive and I hope will last somewhat longer than the cheaper ones I have previously used.

It was a bit of a challenge to photograph. I had to balance the illuminated keys with the "F" legends on the function keys where only the orange icons are illuminated. I found it was very easy to smear or burn out the illuminated legends. I was though pleased that the illumination also provided a hint of blue highlighting between the keys.

I have the same keyboard. I like the short travel distance on flat keyboards. The only problem I have noticed is the space bar is badly designed. I had to take it off and insert a piece of plastic otherwise the space-bar hit rate was less than 25% unless you hit it dead centre. It was extremely irritating as I couldn't type anything as it would come out as a long string of space-less characters.

I can't say I have had any problems with the space bar but it is early days as I have only had it for a few weeks. I bought it to replace a very clunky HP wireless keyboard where I was missing lots of key presses. I thought it was just me getting old but the new keyboard is fine .

Perhaps they addressed the issue. When I disassembled mine it looked as if it was missing a part. I got it shortly after they were released so there could have been a faulty batch. I found the fix on flickr as someone posted a guide on how to fix it. Several people has already followed it.

Presumably the illuminated version is just for people with dodgy eyesight

I use a wireless Logitech for my laptop and find it very good - strange how flat keyboards are now deemed to be better for you

I think they reduce RSI as they do not require as much force to use. I really liked the illuminated keyboard on my wife's laptop as it could be used in the dark. Yes, I know that if I were a touch typist then I should be able to position my hands on the keyboard using the two guide keys and type away.
