Early September is when the Chatworth Country Fair is on - 4th - 6th September. This would give some excellant photo opportunities in a wide range of subjects Also if anyone further afield fancied a trip up to Derbyshire they do 2 or 3 day passes and you can camp there.

So is anyone intetested in meeting up at Chatsworth Country Fair Derbyshire. I have linked the website for anyone whose interested

I have discussed organising local meets with a specialist theme, so if people wanted to come along who were particularly interested in certain subjects say flying birds, action shots, landscapes etc, maybe we organise groups so that they could practise their choosen subject areas together and learn from each other? Just a thought

Be good to get out with like minded folk instead of doing it on my own or like this weekend when I had my nephew with me and all he waffled on about was some game he plays... He never shuts up!!!!

The idea of people leading groups of us on specialised subjects is a great one.

Is there any subject in particular that would lend itself to doing a meeting just for that purpose?

Well for Chatsworth it would be action shots I guess. There are plenty of opportunity to get shots of birds of prey, Whippet racing, Pony Club, Fair Ground rides, aerial displays etc, all we would need is one or two Pentax Pros or Masters on hand to give the benefit of their knowledge and skill

But other ideas could be macro, landscapes, moving water, water droplets, bubbles, portraits, etc. There are a lot of very skilled photographers in the forum

I have a good chance of being able to make this so I will keep an eye on this thread whilst I am away and see if its going to happen.

I would imagine that Spad and I at least will arrange to meet at Chatsworth, it will be just which day if it is only three with you. Will wait a while to see if anyone else decides to join us and then PM you both. It may be a little close to the Lakes meet for some. Enjoy your holiday.

August I am pretty much got my weekends taken up with til after the 22nd!

I can do this weekend but the weekend after I am at Donnington for a race meet and then on the 15th I am on holiday woohoo for a week!
