Has there been an announcement that the lens is delayed? The SRS site has it marked as "coming soon" and review copies seem to have been circulating. The latter is a sign that deliveries should start soon.
But no, complaining doesn't help. Delays do happen, and sometimes it's customs or shipping problems, so not necessarily under the control of Ricoh.
Best regards, John

I remember the DA*60-250 being delayed considerably, but those of us who have one aren't disappointed by the end result in terms of IQ.

Who are "they" stu62? Is this from a press release, the web, or somewhere else? I'd like to go and read the full announcement if you can point us in the right direction.

Sounds like a good thing to me. Certainly no cause for complaint and insults.

Have to say that personally I would much sooner that launches were delayed until things are fully tested and fit for purpose than releasing goods with faults. Perhaps if the K5 release had been delayed - my lens release button would not have flown off and sunk in Padstow harbour

i would think more from a company side of things not to say they are going to make somthing and give a dateand then keep back pedaling
if it was the moter industry or any other industry poeple would turn there back on them
and once you get that reputation it sticks
yes pentax produce some of the best product
but customer service sucks
all thes problems should have been sorted befor the product was announced
if they did not keep having delays then they may get a bigger share of the market

Clearly release was imminent, so announcements made, but a problem was identified in the review copies. Surely it is better to get it right than to release a potential pup. Given the FF is not due until later, the delay doesn't really matter; we've enough lenses to be getting on with!

well if the star system is a pup why not convert to the system that is on its big brother which is working fine as there as been no complaints on here from people that as got them
pentax users have been waiting for a pentax 70/200 2.8 for years and i dont just from the digital era
but why are all the reviews of the len that have been used outstanding with no faults
i think the problem may be that they have made a boo boo on how much it is going to cost them more like

If you're determined to see this as negative, then so be it, but IMHO it's very honest of Ricoh to make such an announcement and admit they need to make some tweaks. It may be an optical issue, but as tests so far have indicated high performance it may be a mechanical issue. Either way, I would rather wait and let them sort it before people start buying it.

This is getting rediculouse
Why don't Ricoh just not keep there gob shut on release dates until it's ready for release
