I am getting the K-7 in about three weeks. The trouble I have, is buying lenses. I could buy the 80-200mm 2.8 silver lens from Hong Kong and use it on a Pentax with an APS-C sensor then use it om my M.E. as well. The new lenses are made for APS-C sensors. I like the WR lenses, butit would be great ifPentax had two lines of lenses and the K-7 being a full frame sensor.

Bear in mind that you can't use the DA lenses on your ME anyway as they don't have an aperture ring. IIRC some of them do have full frame coverage but aren't listed as such - the 40mm f2.8 LTD is one.

My only DA lens is the kit 18-55mm, since then I've always bought used film-era lenses simply because the quality is just as high and they're a good deal cheaper.

Initially, in terms of cost and usefullness, it's not a bad idea to buy a kit with 18-55mm and 50-200mm WR lenses.

These are good lenses - I've posted plenty recently using them - and the ability to keep on shotting in the rain is pretty fantastic!
