D-BG2 for £49.97 @ Jessops

Thats a shame, guessed I was looking at the wrong item

Has anybody here managed to make one of these fit on a GX20.I spent most of yesterday driving round the south of England to get one.I managed to pick up two so I hope Ebay will pay for my petrol.The thing is it is not obvious which part of the grip need adjusting.Google is not my best friend on this occasion.Any ideas? or do they both go to Ebay.

Update

Having gone back and reread some of this thread I noticed that the on switch on the gripo is only for the grip not master for the camera.Tried again turned on camera and all functions on the grip work.It seems all that is needed is a little use of a set of needle files just to allow a closer less forced fit.

Have bought the Samsung grip for my GX20, damn them being different.

Anyhow quick question.

In the menu there are some options re battery choice

Auto
Body
Grip

In auto mode when does the body decide when to change battery?? Is it when completely dead or with some spare??

Used my grip for first time on Sunday at music festival, shot 860 clicks with the body battery alone!!! Using Body option which is more than I usually get alone.

Also focusing on my Tamron 17-50mm was very much improved speed wise & in locking on, I noticed no difference with my 50-135mm which surprised me. I guess the extra power helps the AF drive in the body.When the body battery started to get a little low AF speed did slow down to normal speed & hunting.

Definately want a K7 now just for the grip with the AF button

So far as I know if you select Auto the camera will use the battery with the highest voltage (thus the highest charge) each time. In either other case it will use the indicated battery unless the voltage is very low (in other words, when the battery is flat).

In all cases I do not think the switch-over will happen until the camera is powered off and back on again which could cause issues if you were soing a long exposure on a low battery.

Mine has never switched over, it just refuses to do so even if I turn the camera on and off a few times. Pain in the ***** tbh as the extra battery is the main reason I bought the grip.

Cabstar,the Pentax grip does fit on the Sammy bodyand works straight off.It is a bit tight when screwing on though.A little judicious use of your prefered abrasive on the left "skirt" on the grip (when facing front of camera) and it all loosens up nicely.

Jessops Bargin Bin D-BG2 grip for £22.49p

i Called into a Jessops store yesterday to buy a lens and couldent believe my eyes there was a B-DG2in the bargin bin marked at £45 i asked the assistant to scan it for me and it came up at
£22.49p Bargin so it is well worth poping into any jessops store for a bit of a Rummage in there bins if you happen to be passing one .

Read this thread at the weekend and thought i'd probably missed the boat.
After speaking to Jessops customer service dept on Monday, found a grip in stock in Poole, spoke nicely to them and they agreed to send it to my local store. I was told it would be £22.49.
Received the call today to say it was in, went along and was charged the princely sum of £9.97.
Happy days.

Made a few phone calls but looks like I've missed the boat on this one, shame as it's a real bargain

Give Jessops customer service a call. I was told that Londonderry had stock. I can't confirm this as I didn't need to call them as I had called Poole first. Initially I called Ashford, but despite Customer Service saying there was stock, it was not to be. Good luck.
