CUSTOM IMAGE SETTINGS ON A K3ll

Posted 05/08/2020 - 08:45 Link
Probably a dumb question but are the custom image settings (Bright, Natural, Portrait, Landscape etc) only applied when shooting in JPEG? Seems that using these settings and shooting only in RAW has no effect on the file when loaded into Lightroom Classic CC. The image is displayed on the back monitor screen on the camera as per the selected setting, however if I have it right, it matters not what format you shoot (JPEG, Raw, Raw+) the camera develops a JPEG so it can be displayed on the camera screen. Therefore you will see the selected settings shown in the picture on the screen.
Hope the question makes sense.

The rear screen will show your custom choice but the actual file in RAW is the original unprocessed version. I tried a black and white shot and found the same result, with the RAW file in colour and the jpg version on the second chip in b/w.
