Pretty much the same as previous years, a couple of really great shots and a lot of average ones...the badger shot is the clear winner for me, great composition from a landscape point of view and the perfect foreground subject!!

From memory, haven't seen them online. Liked the bee and poppy, liked the rainbow, and liked the badger. Stoat was canny too,

Badger would be clear winner for me except I would have liked to see more of the top of the archway. It seemed to be cut off

Mine were not picked but no surprise there

The badger would be my pick

Judging is always subjective and as they have picked the ones they prefer I would not question this myself.

Good luck to the 12

They looked a pretty sound selection. Didn't include mine this year
I think you need to remember it's about creating a calendar to raise money for Children in Need, so the selection has to have a wide popular appeal.

I liked the Badger (but background looked blown out?) and the rainbow. I must be honest and say that I wasn't blown away by the quality of these images - I think we have seen better on the forum and in the Gallery.

the last image of the highland cow taken at night with flash to illuminate the snow really poor - what on earth were they thinking !
I though this Gareth but felt that it sounded like me whinging as none of mine were picked

Also I thought the rules stated that the subjects had to be wild but I reckon that the person who tagged the cow must own it and and therefore it's not wild - whinge over

oops - I said I wouldn't question their choices

In case someone from outside the UK wonders what this is all about, here's a link to the 12 chosen ones: link

Not only does the Badger one have blown highlights, is it actually in focus?
