the use of crop circles (with the associated folklore of ufo visitors) as part of an Alien landscape for me was the clincher...
You kept the space theme I was looking for and brought it home.
Clearly those aliens are color blind, but then again, "blue and green is rarely seen" in fashion on Earth, but common in nature...
I like it.

Amoringello
The green Halo and contrast gives the illusion of a head passing through the cross as if it were entering from another dimension... reminds me of the column of water with a face on it from the movie "The Abyss"....
A nice shot, but had me wondering if a little photoshop work to replace the background could've been done to play up the sci-fi aspect.... Would've been an amazing addition to JR's teleportation shot....

a blue cheese universe?
Awesome.
John Riley..
due to rules constraints you got robbed... but we see two very well crafted shots from you.
The ghost image is a very fine well crafted image that only loses this contest because I was leaning heavily towards space themes.... on halloween this would be a contender for first.
Dr Orloff
I like this shot, almost appears as a stargate that connects two worlds as alien commuters nonchalantly teleport themselves home from the office world...
very Dr Who feel to it!.
No losers! all top notch on a tough subject.

here is one I did today:

it is done with three images.
one bubble for the planet...
one pin holes in tinfoil for the stars..
one light through saran wrap for the galaxy.
put together in photoshop.
Should I put together a short video for this?
anybody interested?

never understood golf, myself....
especially how people can watch golf on tv...
maybe if the added some kind of demolition derby with golf carts, or crossed golf with E.R. to make some kind of reality show where doctors have to save patients before they putt... "Damnit he's flatlining...that's gonna cost me two strokes" ...
Caddy Shack had some interesting golf scenes with exploding gophers...

Ah yes - Caddy Shack - great fun - I always thought golf spoilt a good walk but , having tried it 5 years ago , I enjoy the company and don`t take it too seriously and at 64 I need some more excercise than just wandering about with a bag full of Pentax gear.
Don`t mention demolition with carts ! My buddy Rog took me to a very posh course for my birthday and hired a complex cart ( sat nav, snack ordering service, range finder, radio etc )then ran the **^** thing into a tree..............and I let him drive me home !!
Regards
