It seems I have no problems and am not colour blind. Probably a good thing for a photographer!
Thanks for that Stefan, very interesting.

Odd - the ordering one was OK - not a circle but not crossing - I pass the Ishihara relatively easily. But, 2 years ago I did the Beeb cameraman test and got 17% - "almost insanely colour-blind don't apply for a job here". It's an ordering test as well.

Years ago I had to pass the Colour Perception test for driving on airfields - based on the ishihara colour test. First time I had seen it and I failed... The medic giving the test showed me the page with random coloured dots and asked me to read the number on the page...I did, but failed because there was no number in the dots, the number I gave was the one giving the page number of the booklet, on the footer of the page. Needles to say, once we got that sorted all was ok. Apparently one does not go colour blind - it's in your genes!

Stefan. You brighten up my day, whatever you say.
Mine was a tongue in cheek comment, a tease, not to be taken seriously, yet making a point.
Your foresight has turned it into a challenge. Yes! I passed, in spite of my tired eyes.
Good luck in the job hunting. You will be an assett wherever you end up...but Please!! don't let the work get in the way of your posting on here.
regards Thoramay.

I passed with flying colours (ho ho ho)
...which, considering my job involves a lot of colour-selection is a probably a Good Thing! ...although judging by the efforts I sometimes see colleagues come-up with, it appears to be optional...
Where it gets really interesting is how people differentiate between colours, is particularly noticeable around shades of Lavender (is a particular tone "blue", "lav", or "purple" will vary from person to person). Its also noticeable around the Blue/Green areas... Well, ok, its interesting to me

After doing the tests my brain hurts!
Glad to say, despite my daughters views, I'm not colour blind.

Being female I would have been very surprised to find any colour blindness from these tests, since only 0.5% of females have some form of colour blindness, compared to 8% of males.

Your welcome, it was indeed an interesting test.
I know for myself that shades of green are slightly different between my eyes.
Color blindness can also be caused by accidents and other head trauma where permanent damage to the eyes occurs. This can happen as a baby (Shaken Baby Syndrome), or also later in life. UV Rays also present a risk of becoming color blind; they are in fact the leading cause of normal eye blindness in the world.
The 3rd way to get color blindness is through other hereditary diseases such as Diabetes.
