Hmmm... Warehouse Express conjures up an image of high volume/low margin selling. But at least they offer paying in installments, so we can cope with their inflated prices!

These prices have gone up in the last twenty four hours. Last night they were cheaper on the 60-250 than SRS.

The shape of things to come

Chips used to be cheap.

In terms of lens prices, youv'e got to have eyes in the back of your head!!!
The DA16-45 is a point in case, I'm considering buying one so researched prices.
LCE-£249
Argos-£399.99

That's a £150 difference
Who buys lenses from Argos???:

I really feel that there should be less disparity between retailers and their product prices-it does seem unfair on the consumer.
Warehouse Express charge £299.99 for the afforementioned lens.
It boils down to customer service, if people stop buying from photography dealers we will only be left with the likes of Argos.

To quote the British Journal of Photography of 27/5/09 (referring in this instance to DSLRs):

"Despite a 40% shift in the exchange rate between the Pound and the Yen, camera makers have managed to contain DSLR body price rises to 15% or less, and several announced list price increases have been matched by apparently deeper discounting. It's now essential to study the price and availability for any DSLR purchase as stocks can be found at old and new prices, list and discounted alike. Differences of up to 25% between dealers should not be considered unusual." [my emphasis]
