CASHBACK SCANDAL !!

Is anyone else still having problems? I bought my Pentax K-x back in December largely on the basis of the good deal with the cashback. On January 22nd I received an email saying everything was in order and I would receive the payment in 10 days. I still have not been paid six weeks later. I have phoned the help line and the girl just says there is nothing she can do! Pentax Customer service say it's nothing to do with them. SRS where I bought it have tried to help with no success. It is a disgrace and would put me off ever going down the Pentax route again even though the camera is ok.
Has anybody else had this problem and do they know who else i can contact other than BBC Watchdog or the Fraud Squad!!

As you will see, I did eventually receive my cashback and my application form reached the relevant place on 16th November.

I did telephone repeatedly and I am fairly certain that the calls are logged.

The whole problem seems to be that it is a Europe wide scheme handled by a sub-contract agency.

I'm still waiting on my money back ... *sigh*

I was introduced to Pentax cameras when I was at art college in the late 1960s. I was delighted that the K5 finally had a spec that I could live with and dumped my Canon.

Then I waited for the cashback, which was what made the deal for a K5 and 18-135 lens tempting.

And I'm still waiting two and half months later.

Love the camera - can't write here what I think of Asahi Pentax.

I got my cash back in early December about two or three weeks after buying the K5 from SRS.

tell them try hey have 7 days to pay or you will start legal proceedings to recover the debt.
