Car Hide & Roadkill!

In between writing my first review for my website I managed to pop out for a couple of hours with the idea of hunting for some recently spotted owls. It didn't quite work out that way!

Basically I spent an hour looking at a dead pheasant! Have done an amusing write up on the blog and included some of the images here.

Not glamorous I know but it's a side of nature that I don't do that often!

Do you think maybe oncoming drivers might suffer a missed heartbeat or two, thinking they have just found the mother of all mobile speed cameras?

Interesting subject though and worth waiting to see what turns up for a snack.

Yes it was fun seeing the panic on peoples faces even though most were driving at well below the limit!

It was interesting, unusually, as I wouldn't normally think of watching a dead animal for an hour but the thought of a decent action shot kept the interest, just wish they were flying towards me and not away from me.

There was a bit of a dilemma as well because the thought was there to move the pheasant onto the wide grass verge on the side of the road where I was parked, obviously for a better shot, but also thinking about trying to avoid some fresh Red Kite roadkill.

My thoughts here, normally, is to never interfere, but would something as simple as this be classed as cheating or helping the animals? Would be interested to hear other views on this!

At least you didn't want to eat it. I believe in the USA there are Road Kill Restaurants that advertise "From your grill to ours"

If it gets the shot why not move the prop. You would tell a model "lean left a bit, push your hair up" so what is the difference
