Capture One Quick Guide

This was taken at about f/4 (only had a PK mount at the time so can't tell from EXIF), and the shutter speed was 1/125s, so a little slow for a lens like this (I had to extend the centre column of my tripod to get the right angle for him, something I try to avoid with this lens). Add to that my focusing was a little out - a fraction too close. Overall I'm pleased with the quality of this, so can't justify the expense of re-lensing myself.
I'll agree though that it's not the sharpest lens in my bag

Glad you liked the mouse,
Dan

I just meant that since using Capture One and pushing RAW to the max I discovered which lenses were letting me down... and I just had to upgrade them

Turned out to be quite an expensive exercise!

Tip: hold the SHIFT key down while adjusting the curves and it will engage a "fine tune" mode.

Matthew, are you casting aspersions about my Tamron?

Dan
Hmm. Which lens is always in your bag these days? Couldn't be a 300mm Pentax-DA, could it?
Moral: Never argue with Matt.

PS: I know it's not the 2.8 version, because that doesn't exist - yet.
Keywords: Charming, polite, and generally agreeable.

But I am very happy with my DA*300. I think the £800 I paid for it is more than just right.

Dan
K-3, a macro lens and a DA*300mm...

You may find, like I did having moved to C1, that your lenses aren't as good as you thought they were when using other RAW solutions - it was very expensive upgrading all my glass
But your mouse is excellent
