Cape Cornwall

Was down at Cape Cornwall over Easter with the family, and managed to get out a couple of times. A couple of the shots below are still a bit splodgy - some of the weather was as brutal as you get round these parts. Storm Katie in particular was pretty hairy - ended up smashing my K3 and DA 12-24 (gust of wind literally picked up the tripod and smashed it on the rocks - all insured so ok). Anyway, here you go:

BILL!

I start viewing your images and I'm like 'that's my favourite' and then as I scroll I'm like 'No, that one' and then I scroll some more and I change my mind, and change my mind, and change my mind !!

2, 3, 6, 8, 10 and 11 with 6 or 8 as my favourites!

3 stands out to me as I prefer the abstract at times, and the blur rolls into the distance like diminishing peaks within a tenuous fog. Photography isn't about just capturing the real world, its about unlocking the secrets held within us as artists.

An impressive set, I especially appreciate numbers 2, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, i think the last one is the best, although I do like most of them apart from the blurred sea image.

Well I do like 3 6, 8,10 & 11.
Can't make up my mind which is best, so it is a tie with 3, 10 & 11.

A superb set. For me, No.11 is the most eye-catching. I'd be tempted to lift the shadows a bit in the foreground to reveal a bit more detail but the colours and the reflections are magical.

We do have a tendency to pick out favourites (and least favourites) - but presenting as a set allows us to see the range of thoughts, vision and techniques that the image maker has been through. It's another very worthy set Bill, and probably not typical of the sets that quite a few of us would produce. I always look forward to your posts

p.s. Having said all that - I do think the last one is a real gem

1, 2, 6, and 8 are super shots, love them, the last one for me is gorgeous except for the horizon, it looks like another sky has been dropped in. Im not suggesting that you have but thats how it looks (to me). Other than that, the last one is stunning.
Fantastic shooting.

A most beautiful set of images, with 2,6,10 and 11 being particular eye-catchers for me. These make me feel a bit down because I haven't had the time in the past couple of years to get out and about on my own to do any serious landscape or seascape stuff. I must try to find more time and make the effort.

Thanks for posting Bill, they are great.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

9 and 10 for me - and I applaud your fortitude
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
