A very good set of diverse images.

I know art/photo shops in Fremantle WA and Margaret River that would be all over number 3. You should call it "Hitchcock" as it has that quality that draws out various conclusions of what it may be and does not give anything up in the way of clues. It feeds the viewers imagination.

Best regards

Thanks all for taking the time and trouble to offer comments and thoughts on these...

Stan, Gareth, Stosser, Bjorn, Ajax, John, Jeff, Alan, Kris, David, Gary and Phil: Thanks very much for positivity re these, and for thoughts on faves/least faves... always useful and much appreciated...

Nigel: Yes, know what you mean re the foreground in 11... I did look at brightening it a tad more, but it was pretty much pitch black when I took this, and I ended up with this version as I liked the sense of the shapes, more than the detail of them, if you see what I mean...

Lenny: Thanks for kind words re these and my photos in general... very good of you...

Derek: Thanks for saying what you see re 11... Rest assured there's nothing dropped in here, least of all the sky... it's not really something that I would ever do, tbh (my general thing is about spending time somewhere and trying to take a photograph of how it felt, to me, to be there... if I swapped the actual thing I experienced for something else in post, I would have nothing)... I did have to push the image about a stop and a half in Lightroom though... my battery conked out half way through... It was pitch black, with just some ambient light on the horizon, and even at iso 400, f9, and with a dead battery, this was still an 8 minute exposure I think...

David S: Thanks for kind words... looks like you've had a very busy and extremely productive couple of years on one or two other fronts... as you say much of it is about having the time to get out with a camera... look forward to seeing you out and about with a camera in your hand soon I'm sure...

Gary: Thanks for kind words re these... Hitchcock re no.3 is good... I'll have it!

Thanks again all...

Best

The variety of styles in this marvellous set of pictures makes it difficult to single out favourites. Each and every one of them has something new to say ranging from pure abstract to fine landscapes. The drama provided by the weather has been expertly captured - pity about the camera getting smashed but I'm glad you were insured.

Thanks David... Have never been out in weather quite like it... extremely difficult to stand up etc, slippy, very strong onshore wind, relentless seaspray, very wet, but quite exhilarating... In the process of replacing the K3 now, so all good...
