Is there anyway that Photoshop Elements 9 and Lightroom 3.3 can share a catalog please?

I don't know for sure, but I would think it unlikely since LR3 stores its photos in an ****.lrcat file which I imagine PSE9 can't read - just tried to open an lrcat file with PSE9 and it fails.
What exactly are you trying to do? You can certainly point PSE9 and LR3 at the same underlying file structure / set of photo directories but that wouldn't let you share ratings, collections, tags etc.
Cheers

I don't if this helps, but according to Matt Koslowski this is how you integrate Lightroom and PSE.

I don't think you need a log-in to read it. If you do let me know.

Good link from Gwyn and also taught me something I didn't know. However to be a tad pedantic the link is incorrect when it says Lightroom doesn't have any editting tools, the screenshot clearly shows the adjustment brush and spot removal tools visible on the lightroom develop toolbar!

There are of course still reasons to go from LR to PSE, but as my main "use case" is for panoramas (which LR definitely doesn't do!), I need a slightly different workflow.

Thanks for the link Gwyn, very useful. I only PS at work, refusing to buy it for use at home due to the price so maybe I'll now get PSE.

I highly recommend the PSE. With the included Organiser I don't need any other tools to edit and organise my images.
Best regards
