Kx Menu button won't work :(

I've got a Kx, had it for maybe 5 months with no problems, however it's been off for a week or so and now I'm having some trouble with it...

It turns on, goes through it's usual boot procedures (shakes sensor and checks focus) then, nothing. It doesn't matter which buttons I press, I get no response from the LCD, it's just blank. It won't adjust focus, but it WILL take photos, for which the quick review image shows for a second on the LCD, then again, nothing!

Is there a combination of buttons to press to hard reset the camera on boot?

Try checking the thumbwheels are not 'between clicks'. This can cause issues. Then make sure all other switches are 'on' or 'off'.

Then change the memory card.

As a last resort you could re-flash the bios which will cause a hard reset

Thanks for that, I had a good fiddle and while I was pressing buttons, moving thumbwheels, it came on...then went off again...

Turns out that it's the angle I hold it at that's causing the problem?! There must be something loose inside causing a dodgy connection... I'll have to give Pentax a ring, see if they can repair it under warranty.
