Yes, it's on the front just above the 'X' in PENTAX. Image is here. (Don't want to post the picture directly in order to prevent clogging up the topic.)

It is purely cosmetic but is noticeable. You can actually cover it with a drop of black paint fairly easily.

Ah so the damage is not on the prism but on the prism casing? I was wondering how you had damaged the prism.

Puts a different light on the camera all together.

I don't blame you for keeping the MZ7 - I still use mine - sometimes with the 1.4 50mm. It's a great little camera!

(I can't believe the 60-250 and 12-24 are unsold. Two of the best lenses Pentax make!)

Just to give this a friendly bump - just got home from work (the only advantage of starting at 5am this week!) to find a well-wrapped parcel containing a lovely new lens. If this was ebay feedback, 5* all round - Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to take pictures with the new toy

Oh, minus several million points for the lens cap though, it may be a unique souvenier of the 1980 winter olympics, but it says C*n*n! Argh!
