Hi, i slipped on ice and my camera back went down with a bang as well, luckily only the lens hood for my Sigma 70-300 was broken, i have tried to get another and the prices are ridiculous, would a tulip hood be just as good as they are only cheap?
Thanks in advance for any info

Hi Dave, yes i have, i can't find one on there, i've googled it and the cheapest i can find is £16, i really don't want to spend that much on a lens hood

They do some threaded deep hoods on eBay - item description "58mm Screw in Mount Metal Tele Standard Lens Hood for Canon Nikon Sony Pentax". Ok, it takes a while from china but costs £2.69 for the 58mm metal deep hood you'd need. If you search 58mm Metal hood UK only their are a few others not quite the same but cheaper than £16. Good luck
Finally in the new era.... reignited my passion.

PENTAX K500, DA* 16-50mm (at a steal of a price, I couldn't refuse) & Sigma 100-300mm f4, M SMC 50mm F1.7, Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 & Sigma 400mm f5.6 and af360fgz
