#1, #2 and #4 are absolutely superb!!!
#3 isn't a bad shot, but is overshadowed by the others.
#2 has great composition
#1 is just fantastic for the OOF background woman kinda mimicking the pose of the subject
#4 is just mad
I have to go with #1 for the pose symmetry. - brilliant shot!! - it's almost a conjoined twin

I really like these, David. The energy and vibrant colours leap off the screen. No.2 is particularly pleasing, I feel.

Thanks for all your comments. I posted them in order of my preference for these, 1-4. #4 is a fun shot but I don't rate it photographically with the others. These are just a handful of the 100s of pictures I took in Edinburgh on Saturday. I now have a big back log of pictures to work through because last week I was at the opposite end of the country, down in Berkshire, Wiltshire and Gloucesterhsire (via the East Midlands) from Durham.
Got some nice ones at Lacock Abbey not far from you Andrew.

The Edinburgh fringe got off to a damp start on Saturday but that didn't stop thousands enjoying themselves on the city's Royal Mile where performers did impromtu street acts to advertise their shows. For me it was like covering the Whitby Goths Festival, except with the Goths you had models willing to stand and pose. At the Fringe the performers were happy to be photographed but they were more intent on getting on with the show so photos had to be grabbed on the move.
