Best Bokeh Lens

More overt 'bokeh' in this image than the previous one from me. Sigma SuperwideII 24mm:

It's a tough ask to work out which lens always gives the best bokeh. I have many photos which I consider to be nice bokeh, but they don't always come from the same lens, it just depends on the circumstances, ie camera to subject distance, subject to background distance, type of background, aperture used and lighting etc. Here are a few samples:

FA*300 f4.5




I do find that the DFA100mm f2.8 macro has nice bokeh.

Used in this way it gives some pleasing results

Pete, the trick is to find the URL address of the photo.
With IE, you can right click on the photo and press options, you then get an window with an URL address in it.
Copy that into your comment window and select the address and press the image button near the smilies, it adds the needed IMG codes infront and at the back of the address.

If you've opera you can simply right click on the image and you can say copy image address and then do the same thing as above.
Don't know how firefox works.

The url address needs to end on an image code, and when you add the IMG codes it will look like this.

Used () instead of [] here or else you won't see the code

Just as a small experiment I shot a number images with

Sigma 30.1.4, pentax F2, Pentax 50/1.7/ Vivitar 28/2.8, Pentax 70/2.4, Vivitar 100/3.5, Pentax 135M/3.5, Vivitar 70-200 (old copy) at 70/f4 and 200/f4

and you can see them here - don't get excited though.

Thank you mike, you have giving the lens a hard subject to render.
Only the Sigma 30 f.1.4 at 1.4, Pentax 50 at 1.7 & Pentax 135M at 3.5 I would say are pleasant.

Sad to see that the Pentax 70 ltd isn't doing so well but I had already seen it has trouble with out of focus highlights

Was so happy when I got it .. still love the IQ although I don't use it for macro as such anymore.
