Beaumont Park

A public park created in the 1880's on land donated to the Corporation by one Henry Beaumont for the benefit of the people of Huddersfield. It's built on the face of a steep rocky hillside. Hope you get a bit of an idea of what a lovely spot it is from this selection - lots of steps and steep paths, but the views from the top and the autumn colours are superb! All comments welcome!

Interesting angles and good colours, John, and number 3 is number 1 for me! (A minor point - it would be good to see the whole shadow in the last one.) A nice set of an attractive place.

Cheers.

Looks like a park well worth visiting. You give a wonderful overview of it.

That's pretty cool, looks like a right spot to visit in any weather. Probably look good in the snow too.
Well shot.

Thank you all for commenting. It's a place to go, as Derek says, at any time of the year, spring and autumn being my favourites.

I like 3 with the play on lines and angles. Also like 6 with the clever composition that openly leads you into the scene

Thanks, all for your comments. For somewhere so close to heavily built-up areas, it's surprisingly wild, with a good variety of birds and mammals

That's a good thing! We need more spaces in built up areas to let the wildlife back in
