Basildon Beauty Spot

Got out with the camera yesterday, thought I'd show you that Essex isn't all flat, and that there are nice places to go in Basildon, of all places. :wink: K10D, 16-45mm, polariser. Known locally as Pitsea Cove, pity they're not a bit more sensitive as to where they put their signs. :roll: Dan

Very good, Dan. I was so amazed at the idea of Basildon having such a beauty spot that I didn't think to question it.

The sign is a complete photoshop creation, the original does look somewhat nicer without it. It could have done with more contrast, harsher shadows on the legs would have made it look a bit more 'right'.

Anyway, Basildon, and the whole of Essex for that matter, has plenty of beauty spots, they just don't look like this one. Rolling countryside yes, sheer limestone cliffs no.
