B&W onto canvas

Any advice on getting images put onto canvas?? Good firms, suitable finishes, that kind of thing.

Cardiff Gareth made the (very generous) comment that one of my entries for the B&W mono landscape comp would look good on a canvas, and (rather immodestly :blush I'm seriously thinking about it - spurred on by my partner who seems to genuinely really like the image (and she's a tough critic :roll.

I've used Peak Imaging for prints in the past (and been happy with them), and they do canvatex link. But are there other options? Any advice on the best finish for B&W??

I know some artist that use them, not the cheapest though...

They make giclée prints which is the highest quality you can get, it's also excepted in gallaries and such.
They also do mounting, laminating and framing.

I use http://www.amc-photographics.com for prints and canvas. Good quality and fast delivery.

We offer printing on canvas as a market necessity, but for me personally, it's just not the greatest medium for photographic printing. The effect is a little crude for my tastes. I print my keepers on either a baryta-based semi-gloss paper such as Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta or the paper I've been experimenting with lately, Canson Platine Fibre Rag (both of which offer extraordinary dMax), or on a matte fine-art paper such as those from Canson, Moab or Hahnemuhle. Although printing on canvas has come a long way, in my opinion the alternatives offer more subtle tonality and finer textural rendition than canvas.

I don't particularly like canvas, but the idea is that it
looks like a painting and as such should be in colour.

I had a couple of B&W shots printed on canvas and they looked pretty good.
