Arrival of K-1 III is imminent!

The reason I know this is that after several years away from photography I have just acquired a used K-1. It is therefore almost inevitable that the K-1 Mk 3 will be announced in the very near future and the prices of the earlier versions will plummet.

'Twas ever thus.

Oh but the times I have waited for the newest model to come out and then I might just be able to afford its predecessor, well just before the next model comes out

So a mark III when the mark IV comes out in 2032?

Oh maybe, if I can still afford one. I've been looking at K3lll prices but secondhand ones are still making good money. Maybe when and if a K3V comes out I could afford the K3lll you never know

I’m exactly the same. Long overdue for an upgrade but the K-3 iii seems quite rare and therefore holding its price longer than expected.

TBH I wouldn't expect this to change in quite some time. If it gets superseded it'll be a long time coming and even then it will be rare on the used market and therefore hold it's value well, just like the K-1 (both versions) have done.
