Anyone up for a 'One Lens Challenge'?

I am hoping to join you too, if I can decide between 28, 35, 50 or 50 mm.

I was interested to read in "The Observer" a week and a half ago, that Sheffield is prominent in the provision of public art. The 'upturned tuba' outside The Children's Hospital (outside the city centre) and numerous sculptures and relief carvings were mentioned.

Lens-wise, 28 or 35 for city-scapes or 50 mm for distant/close-up.
Peter

I've had no one take me up on the car share, so unfortunately, I'm going to withdraw from this meet. Hope you all have a great time

The lens choice is a difficult one Peter, I like you have been struggling to come to a decision, but have settled on the DA50 F1.8, because it's AF and all my other primes are vintage MF models. I also like the bokeh on the DA50, whereas my other choice the Pentax-M 28mm F3.5 is poor in this regard. 50mm might be a bit tight, but I'll have to be a bit creative!

Hope you can make it on Sunday.

Would you believe, you can't get there much before midday on a Sunday. There is an earlier train but there's no connecting service to it.
So I'm going to have to sit this one out. Sorry about that folks.

Hi all. Came up tonight to stay with family and looking forward to tomorrow's meet.

Intrigued by the locations and wondering if they might include canal basin or 'The Sheffield Tap' (v. Atmospheric and on the station). I will pretend to be looking at Sheffield like an outsider.

I wonder if any of the locals might have any unwanted copies of 'The Star' from earlier in the week. I was hoping to buy a couple of copies tonight for Northern Rail promo tokens but they seem to have finished printing them now.

I did have some thoughts of joining you but the first train from here on a Sunday isn't until after 11, let alone get there for eleven (and then it'd be a three hour journey!) Hope the rain eases for you.
Even worse, apparently buses replace trains between Driffield and Bridlington/Scarborough tomorrow. By time I got there you'd all be gone home!

Yes, maybe, but expect he'd want to come straight down the A1 rather than the coast road. Hopefully there'll be another time. In any event, the weather hasn't been very encouraging for a day out this weekend!
Northern Rail are supposed to be increasing the service in April and hopefully they'll continue with the £10 ticket offer in the paper (I do have the vouchers so will have to arrange something another day.)
Hope you all have a great day (and not get too wet!)

Yes maybe he would have come down the A1
The BBC weather have sunshine and clouds from 9-00 until 2-00
The rail service on a Sunday is rubbish northern rail as lost the franchise
So another company will take over and might put more trains on
Marbe we could hane a meet up in or around North Yorkshire
cheers Neil
