There's a shop in Woking called Harpers Photographic, and they appear to have the cheapest Pentax DA* 16-50mm that I can find. Has anybody had any experience with them? I'm not expecting SRS microsystems like reputation, but I'm keen to avoid any rogue traders.

It does look cheap - not too far for you to drive across if you are unsure.

Haven't used them before, but in their 'Pentax lenses' department only has two listed: the DA* 16-50 and the DA* 50-135. That suggests that they're planning to stop selling Pentax, which might explain the reasonable price on the 16-50.

Might be worth clarifying the exact lens they're selling too, as the narrative talks about the 16-45mm...
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

Good point although the price does seem to suggest a DA* 16-50 f/2.8

It's my local store. I'd have no qualms buying from them, They are not usually the cheapest but I've bought a compact and a video camera from them. The staff are knowledgeable and willing to help.

It turns out that they didn't have the Pentax 16-50mm f/2.8 in stock. They've since removed that listing
