Lovely shot ... and OMG what a fat waxwing that is !
I wonder just what the CaNikon shooters think when it's a shot from a Pentax that wins / places in these competitions. Does it encourage them to give Pentax a second look ?

Never even seen one, I don't think they fly very far west. Terrific shot. Well done!

I could have won that easy peasy, all I needed was a Waxwing and some frosty branches
Joking aside Steve I'm still going to be critical, I think its a tad overexposed.
Having said that I would have been delighted to have captured it myself and over the moon if I'd won a competition with it, just a minute heres that green smiley again

this shot was taken on the West Coast of Cumbria, I was about 1/2 mile from Morecambe Bay, it was a very harsh December last year and I must admit it was the first time I've seen these birds.
It was worth getting up on a chilly Boxing Day morning for though.
