OK, the phone is idiot proof, it does nothing but make calls.

Problem is the battery's died, so..

...several Phonesareustoyouwarehouse type shops later...

....I have to go on line to get a battery.

They only sell new phones and nothing else!!!

I need a beer!

And if you do buy a car from them , once you drive it away the first thing you do is

Oh well - Monday morning my front porch is being re-roofed

Starting to crack - so has to be done I do trust my roofing man - so I don't query his charges - they are reasonable . He doesn't charge me for inspecting the house roof every autumn [ he does to other folk ] and he will come and do urgent repairs ASAP [ as he did the first year after Raymond died - lots of snow on the roof and the darn thing started to leak into MY bedroom ]

We have a new Samsung HDD recorder that has BBC iplayer on it. Does anyone know how to put ITV player on as well. It is pointless for me, but it's required by a person for Emmerdale and Corrie!!!!

You haven't said which box it is but looking at reviews for several Samsung boxes it seems ITV player may not be supported yet. Seems you'll have to record Emmerdale and Corrie off the live broadcast.

I'd check with Samsung.

Yes, you'd think there would be some consistency.

Then what about Channel 4 and the others?

Could be Samsung have some Beta firmware they'd let you try or a workaround so worth asking them, though I can guess the answer from their support people! But you never know.

Looks like Channel 5's available... http://www.samsung.com/uk/tvapps/app-detail.html#43

and just maybe: http://www.samsung.com/uk/tvapps/app-detail.html#29
though it says for smart TV.

I got a Sony Blue Ray thing with internet. That has i-player (works well) and the 5 thing as well as other ones, but no itv.

The problem could be that the ITV people aren't paying the manufacturers enough to support their browsers.

Afterall, when did Sony,Samsung etc do anything for free?

Weekend away,so see you all Sunday.

Have a good time HG

I'm off to play with some Landies today - my dealer wants to sell me a new one [ hahahahahahahahaha ] and is offering some experience in all terrain driving/handling.

Could do with this - so I'll have some fun
