well, my alarm will ring in about 6 hours to get me out of bed and off to the airport for a few days in the relative warmth of Germany. Supposed to hit 22 degrees on Monday. Just got to finish packing...

Just back from the pub. We ate at the hotel last night and were underwhelmed, so tonight we strolled down to the pub and enjoyed an excellent beef pie, several pints and the live music. Very good.

We'll have to come back again I can see .

No, it was a visit to several pubs and a meal in 'Little Tokyo'

They have Asahi lager on draught...

... so the Pentax theme follows on...

What a great weekend. Photography in the park and curry with pals on Saturday. Did my first solo flight, had a walk on the beach with the dog and had another curry on Sunday.

But now... work.

This is what happens when everyone heads to Glasgow. All too busy (or hung over) to say anything pointless.

I had something of a find this morning. An apparently rather rare AF201SA flashgun for £5. You might wonder why on earth I wanted it given they only offer Program flash or manual, but it's a powerful and relatively tiny unit which should be handy on the K-m for parties and similar where I can just fit the 35mm lens, set everything to P, and fire away.

Weird day today - some sun , some reasonable skies , some grey skies and some blooming dark clouds

In other words - the mixture as before

OH and someone has been missing in action since Saturday - now I wonder where he's gone ?

Back online for a day or two after a couple of lovely days in York catching up with brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Oh and a day trip to Whitby.
It was exhausting - mostly because we stayed up until 2 talking and then had very full days too.
We have just been on a nostalgia trip through Oldham so Alan could see his old home. We went to a pub that we used to visit, and had a great meal -10GBP for the two of us! He had rag pudding and I had braised steak. Yum.

Now at a nice hotel south of Chester for the night before continuing southwards.

OOH Tony wasn't meaning you

Gwyn should remember some discussions we had at Pollock which caused much amusement

BTW - you should have seen Gwyn's method of making sure we should recognise and identify her - superb
