Just watched Human Planet, another fantastic episode ... wonderful how some people live in harmony with nature. Like the living bridges of Meghalaya link Wanna go there! Weather sealing will come in handy by the look of it...

Good programme that one, did you turn to BBC2 for the Kate Humble spice programme.

Another one to watch and highly enjoyable, if only for the infectious laughing from all involved.
Cheers, HG

At the risk of a corus of I told you so , second mouse now being 'sponsored' at the University.

Definitely not the same one - no choclolate mark on it's head and it was a bit bigger than the first one. Hope that's the lot now.

When we had minus lots it felt warner than last week when it was raining!

I also spelt gnocchi wrong. now to look for a serving suggestion or two..

...are you there Tony?
Sorry HG - Jo been down to London for a couple of days and I`ve been out enjoying the "spring" as well as watching 5 Steven Seagal dvds ( nobody`s perfect !! ).Also re-recording all my Buddy Holly back to Media Player on the PC.
Gnocchi - presumably not potato gnocchi but semolina or wheat flour - is best served simply ..........pesto sauce,or a tomato salsa with just a reduction of onion, tomato, basil, oregano, white wine and maybe a hint of chili (garlic if you like ).Some just toss it in beurre noisette ( melted butter with lemon juice )and parsley and Formaggio Parmiggiano or Grana Padano grated over generously.
Lovely light dish and a little like Polenta , much under-rated by we Brits.
Try a Pinot Grigio to go with - delightful.

On another note my palate has gone haywire - maybe the medication ? I have got a taste for Stone`s Ginger Wine with Canada Dry over ice and my 14 and 15% reds are not being enjoyed any more !!!!! I have therefore ordered a case of Gamay/Burgundian wines to see if I can get over it and restore my blood alcohol levels at 12/13% - worth a try !

Sunshine all gone today - first daffodil out and the Forsythia blossoming - Les printemps sont arrivees ........................

This is my 1,000th post
Just waiting for my wife to pick up her Mother who is coming to stay for the weekend.
Weather forecast is dismal, so no excuse to get out
Why is it whenever my wife invites HER mother`s it seems to be left for me to find something for them to do?.
OH well, 60 minutes before she lands, heading for the drinks cabinet
