You are too soft Steve.
It is vermin. Kill it (and all it's friends - there is never only one mouse) or spend the rest of your days catching it/them and releasing it/them at ever greater distances from home.

They are simply an inconvenience. If they are denied food and warmth, they will not bother you.

Gwyn - as the mouse didn't do any damage of any concequence - just chewed a semi circle out of the lid to our under sink wate bin system, no call for retribution (just redistrebution :lol.
Now it's benefiting from a University education, all for free. Released it in woodland close to student accomodation and a golf course, so has access to all the local amenities the site has to offer. More cyrils here than Tozza's, so even has friends to talk to.

Cyril often talks about his cousin Cyril who lives in Bath - Midsomer Norton - and often gets asked to play small parts on Casualty and Holby City - he says !!
Apparently he was on Casualty a couple of weeks ago - a lay on part - he played a roadkill victim as the ambulance raced past - the only lines were double white but he gets a lot of nuts and the fringe benefits are apparently quite good.
He was also the figure of the NS&I for a while and his dad - Cyril - was in the Cadburys ads some years ago !
Cyril is hoping his lad will be going over the Mersey to the Everyman Theatre to study and become a furry thespian as well.

I have caught (killed:blush at least 6 over the winter.A worrying thing is the set trap went missing over the weekend.I have pulled out the tumble dryer to check under the units, but no signs.
I have visions of mighty mouse walking around with the trap attached.
Last year I set two traps in our old pantry and caught a mouse with both attached.

Mice in a house are vermin. They dribble urine continuously and leave droppings wherever they go, and will contaminate any surface they come in contact with. There is never just one mouse in a house.
A good trap will kill them swiftly and humanely - much better than poison for the job, which is a slow painful death, and puts the lives of your own and neighbours pets at risk too.
Grey squirrels are also officially vermin - any that are rescued must be put down, they cannot legally be released.

How dare you call Cyril vermin - he does not need rescuing as he is happy to feed from the hand of his mates - Tozza & Joclick - in return for endless entertainment,a small amount of hollow tine aeration and a daily patrol of Spital Towers Estate to make sure there are no "other" vermin about !!!!
Shame on you Gwyn ......................................
