So annoyed with eBay, I bought a carrycot for our pushchair ready for the newborn. When it turned up it was missing the leg adaptor that attaches the carrycot to the pushchair frame, without it the item is useless. Before I bought the item I asked the seller how it attached a they said they would supply the instructions. Without ever owning a pushchair carrycot I was in the dark about the leg adapte so bought it. Anyway it turns up, no leg adaptor, I contact seller who says I must have a different version as they never had the need for this part. I contact the manufacturer who say nope only 1 version of that model and as the pushchair us discontinued the part cannot be ordered and they are the proverbial hens teeth to fund used. I open a dispute, the seller ends it early and it's put to eBay. They side with the seller I then try to appeal the descision, producing an online PDF manual showing the instructions and the need of this adaptor bar and also the manufacturers number to contact them to prove I'm not lying but my appeal is rejected!

I've left negative feedback for te seller but eBay has removed it at the sellers request as nit to ruin their 100% feedback, talk about making a mockery of the whole feedback system

So I'm left £50 out if pocket with a carrycot I cannot attach to the pushchair frame
Hi Gareth,

In cases like this ALWAYS opt for 'Item not fit for purpose'. This in turn will put the seller on the backfoot as HE has now to prove the opposite. Also DIRECTLY put in a claim with PayPal as they are more likely to find in the buyers favour. All you have to do is send the item back via ONLINE traceable means (courier is the best option here).
Under the seller distance regulations you got anyway 7 days to return any item without even giving a reason, in particular if the seller is registered as a business.
I know that a lot of people think that eBay is different or that the seller can make the rules but its not so.
I still would try it again via PayPal as if it is not fit for purpose and you seem to be able to proof it you may still claim your money back.
If you need more info about this PM me as my Sister in Law works for Trading Standards and I can get info that you may need quicker and with less hustle.
Kind regards

If the item is faulty and it is a business sale then not only do they have to refund you but they have to collect it from you.

Have a look at this clock. It is pretty clever. Click anywhere on it an it turns digital, click again for analogue.

It is with a sad heart that I type this.

At 2.00 this morning one of my(our) cats died.

Oscar was a vibrant creature, always there for a cuddle or to share a meal, he was the only cat I ever knew that liked green beans.

Despite a genetic heart murmur he was always on the move, the garden will seem empty without him.

Rest in peace little brave one.

So sorry David.

It hurts when you lose a much loved pet. Take it easy, and give yourself time to mourn your lovely Oscar. A fine name for a fine looking cat.

Rest in peace Oscar, now over the Rainbow Bridge.

I hope your other cat(s) give you some comfort.
