Funny you should mention the wasp. We had one in the kitchen, right in the middle of when all that snow was coming down.

If it's inside it could be a hibernating queen.

Either evict or eliminate, you don't want a wasp nest in the house!

My mother-in-law had one in the attic a few years back, the little varmints were everywhere and when the nest was killed there were MILLIONS of them!!!

Yes the missed item was a Vest pocket Kodak that went for £4.25, I had £12 on it but the snipe didn't happen.

Tony - get rid of the things .

Did I ever say that while clearing our/my attic we found no less than 7 nests ?

They were dive bombing us . Local Council sent in the experts and not a one remained .

I had an insectecutor and left it working up there for several weeks after the expert had been - not one was fried and I'm still wasp free

I`ve had quite a good week HG - got a Cobra Auto 210 in vg condition with original filters for £3-50 and just got a Paragon 2.8 28mm K fit ( says macro on the picture too )for £5.50.

And you`ll never believe it !!!! A wasp just flew through my line of sight to the spotlights on the landing ????? Where the H*ll did he come from ??

Showing 4 degrees on the thermometer,no wind and cloudy - laters

Not doing badly here either - Auto Takumar 55mm f2.2 for £10. Even more unusual, it's the version with the black aperture ring rather than the more common chrome type. From what I've read these lenses were supplied only with the black S1, which is going to be something of a challenge to lay hands on!

Or how hungry they are, don't spiders only eat once a month (or two months or three months or something like that!)?

New Scientist did actually publish a book a while ago titled "Does Anything Eat Wasps?"

Personally I'm a fan of the Japanese bees which respond to hornet scouts by piling on them and frying them with heat from their wing muscles. The bees can survive a temperature a few degrees higher than the hornets, which would otherwise destroy the hive in hours.
