How very old fashioned and sexist.I wanted to buy my 4 yr old daughter some but apparently I was told it's for boys damn, gotta think of a new way to get my hands on some !!!
I loved playing with Scalextric with friends. We never had it, couldn't afford it, but plenty of friends brothers did.
Buy it for her. If boys are encouraged to play with dolls then girls should be encouraged to play with cars.
Alternatively you could always have a son .

Pity that Jenson could not get his to run right side up on the track on Sunday.. Red Bull gives you Wings but not in the rain and now it may be the Spanish/Italian merg who will get it. Hope Not. Who will win it this year?Get McLaren to tune the cars and they`ll run upside down on the ceiling !!

Can`t abide Alphonso since he stirred up racial tension in Spain over Lewis but he is a racer and the body language between him and the lad looked ok on Sunday so maybe it`s all ok now.I still would put money on Lewis both because of his skills and the reliability of the car generally.
I like both Webber and Vettel - they come across as nice guys but I think it could be all over for them - both trying very (too)hard to win the championship for the first time - Lewis has been there before as has Jenson, and the Spaniard (twice).Couple of good races ahead methinks..........Cracking day here - bright sunshine and almost warm - done some gardening and tidying up for the winter.

Just opened a bottle of red "just for the cooking", I worked on the JPS team, and the "red mechanics" destroyed more hire cars than any other team.

I still support Williams. I follow a team rather than drivers.
Alphonso did say way back in June that he would win the championship. Interesting to see if he does.
It was a shame for Vettel. And tbh I'd quite like Webber to be champion this year.

I had a friend who worked for Williams and he invited me to the GP at Brands when Mansell won. We had a pit pass and were so close that when they pushed Mansells car from the garage it ran over my foot. Gone are those days. You need to be at least a grade B celebrity now for that sort of treatment.

When I was a lad .................................my dad used to take me to Aintree and Oulton Park - I used to be able to talk to the drivers and touch the cars in the pits - I`ve still got a load of autographs from the likes of Fangio,Moss,Surtees,Hawthorn,Bueb, and many others.
Last one I went to live was Silverstone in the 70s - becoming expensive then and very hard to get in and out of the circuit. We had BRDC passes thanks to my honorary Uncle Jack Reece ( ex racing/rally driver )and spent a lot of the race eating smoked salmon butties and supping champers out of the boot of a souped up Rover V8 in the centre of the circuit - those were the days !!
Prefer my BBC coverage these days but miss the sounds and the smells......

I was part of the team on Nigel Mansells car when he and Ayrton Sena where at Lotus.
We all stayed it the same hotels as the drivers (sometimes) and had some amazing times with the drivers. This was in the late 70's and early 80's

Pa and I always stayed at the Bull at Stoney Stratford - My missus worked there for a while too - this was where the "Cock & Bull story" expression was supposed to have originated from as the Cock is just up the road.

Well, unless I misuse the garage for it, but then I can't make any dust
Let's see what happens when the builders are done with outside, I think they're around a month behind schedule, which is why we have a diesel-powered heater blower pushing warm air up the side of the building. To dry everything out before the real winter hits.
