The other problem is that the likes of ATS don't really understand Land Rovers. The suspension and steering isn't like a normal car and the alignment procedures are different. I'm also a lot pickier than farmers about the handling as I tend to throw it around a bit, so need a garage which can set it up properly after changing anything.
More to the point does ANYONE understand Land Rover owners

Theyre not happy unless their driving up a 1/4 mud encrusted incline or sailing through four foot of water that more resembles liquid mud, and then you get those that have grown up (or think they have) and buy a Range Rover, but do they stop trying to defy the laws of gravity? Oh No, every Sunday afternoon you see them driving back up the motorway plastered in mud and grass, it isn't enough thyre guzzling gallons of fuel they then have to go to the car wash and use half a reservoir to clean the damn thing

Laws of gravity? I prefer to regard them as guidelines...

One of my favourite sections on a right of way near me - the direction could be accurately given as "turn left up rockface"

I learnt to weld with my Landy.

I also learnt heavy engineering, industrial mechanics and a few new swear words...

...it's all NOT in the hand book!

Good fun when running, but when something breaks...

Well we've been flooded too, - at least in Spain it's a warm flood .

And yes I know Valencia is having problems with fires too.

It's just that when it is grey, and cold (13C) and wet and my arthritis is playing up Spain seems very attractive. Especially as we've had this weather for over a month now, and have another 7-8 months of it to look forward to. Summer left early this year after a brief appearance at the beginning of July.

Now to book my trip to Photokina.

I had to come in at 7.30 for a conference call with China. Which is even less glamorous than it sounds.
