How do we go about reporting posts to moderators on here? Some bottom-feeding spammer appears to have got in!

Either PM them personally or select "Report problem/Suggestion" at the bottom left.

Spammers get picked up fairly quickly, but if one is missed for any length of time a PM does the trick.

nice one Oggy

As it's a photography forum I'd just like to say I now have a black, yes I said black, Pentax ME.

And it works!

When I've redone the seals and cleaned it up it's going to go out and be played with.
Cheers, HG

I picked up a black ME Super for £13 last week. Unfortunately while the meter works and it isn't jammed the shutter doesn't seem to want to cock - it just winds and winds. Is this a simple DIY fix? I might actually think about having this one professionally sorted as it's pretty tidy otherwise (aside from a missing winder cap) and the black versions are more sought-after.

Weirdly if I leave it for a while then wind on, it'll cock and fire. Try to wind on again immediately and it won't play!

I noticed the thread, that no one answered, on your black MES DM and put this link on it, have you seen it and was it any help?

As for painting, sons room just re-plastered (professionally) and painted by us, now all he has to do is gat his things back in before Honesty (her PU name) comes home from camp.

Next job, bilberry picking and a pub lunch.

Not so much plastering, but got to patch up the holes left when the old tiles were taken off in the kitchen. Then it's on with the new tiles - maybe tomorrow!

Sensible woman. Steaming and stripping wallpaper is horrible.

Has anyone any sunshine to spare?

Thanks HG, I did find that link but it seemed to be aimed at someone with rather more electronic skills than I have! I'll probably go for your other suggestion of swapping the parts onto a working but scruffy silver ME Super.

I might also have a look for one of the ME belt clips, as that should fit the ME Super (based on the fact that they can both use the same winders).
