We've bought on of those 15 in 1 Ninja Foodie's. Been using it a lot, so much faster and cheaper than using the oven and it's surprising what you can make in it. It can air fry, roast, steam roast, pressure cooker etc. So far we've made bread, cooked a chicken in it, made a beef bourguignon, did a joint of beef as well as crispy chicken etc. Has a probe so you set the meat and how you want it cooked and off you go.
Just saying in case you want to reinvest in a pressure cooker then these can do that and a whole lot more and are cheap to run.

Sorry to hear about your pressure cooker, maybe now's the time to invest in something 'modern'.
Like a wood burner with a hotplate.....

For an exciting moment I thought you'd misspelled the long, thin, wiggly fish. Thoughts of spiced eel ... YES!!!! Then I looked at the pictures. Still looks good though .We discovered a firm that does eal spice ,
Not sure that things are getting better. On the plus side, my optician has confirmed that the odd vision in my left eye is - as I was hoping - nothing worse than a cataract . On the minus side, he told me that there was one in the right eye, too - which I wasn't expecting . Being a glass half full type of person, I'm just happy that the better eye is my viewfinder eye .

My cheery wife bought a book of jokes from a charity stall. Trouble is, she keeps trying to read the really funny ones out to us. But just before she gets to reading out the punch-line she becomes completely inarticulate with helpless laughter.
The only thing we can do, in frustration, is to take the book off her and read it ourselves

Couple of weeks later I was looking for something in a kitchen cupboard, and noticed some brown stains on the inside walls thereof, and tracked the source down to a small can of Tesco own-brand baked beans. Turned out that it had had a pinprick hole in one end, and, as a result, the contents had rotted and caused a build-up of gas inside the can. The pressure from that eventually led to part of the end opening "explosively" and the rotted beans to "vacate the premises" very rapidly. Took a LOT of time to clean the cupboard, and I never really got rid of every stain.
Took the can, in a plastic bag!, back to Tesco customer services but the assistant was not all "impressed" by the sight or smell in the bag - we then got a quite generous TESCO Gift voucher and a couple of other freebies, but that didn't totally compensate for all that cleaning work
