I don't need her to do that, I can quite easily banish myself although it's a bit too cold this time of year and as most of the plonk is red it wouldn't be worth drinking out there anyway.

Always been advised never to mix medication. Many years ago in Oman, I had a flu like feeling and felt well off colour. As usual, it was at the end of the week and so threatened to wipe out the weekend. At 10am on a Friday morning I decided to have a good gulp of full strength Benylin which basically means 1/3rd of the bottle. For some reason, I had decided that I'd also top it off with a double shot of vodka.
Duly quaffed, I laid on the sofa. 35'C outside and sunny. I awoke at around 2pm. Feeling somewhat better, I thought I'd put the kettle on and the TV prior to going out to do some shopping. That can't be right? The news came on and said it was Saturday.
No wonder I felt better. The knock out cocktail had put me out for around 28 hours....
Last night I mixed Black Label Smirnoff with Jagermeister and inadvertently discovered Smirgermeister. Slept like a log.

Found some 45rpm singles in a box a week ago. Ranged from early Beatles to Val Doonican. Cleaned them up and played a few each day while having a mid-afternoon cup of tea. As soon as I sat down and lifted cup to lips, the side had finished. 3 minutes gone already . Yet as a teenager, a side of a single seemed to be a long time.

What year is it?
on a lighter note I've been clearing out old cameras, I no longer have the urge to use a film camera just because it's different to the one next to it..
...Mrs HG is very happy this is happening, but..
..when the money came in it went out on some new susspension springs for my BMW bike,
I'll just have to sell more cameras so I can finance the next touring upgrade..

Yes, really. And the Bachelors. And the Merseybeats. And the Dave Clark Five. And the Barron Knoghts. And Julie Rogers, who I'd never heard of. The records came with my wife...

Last night we ordered a Pizza H** delivery and were looking forward to a treat.
The deal had 2 pizzas, garlic bread and ice cream, spot on for a lazy evening..
..but..
the meal arrived WITHOUT ice cream.
A 5 minute phone call later the icecream was on it's way and arrived just as we were tucking in.
So ice cream in fridge and sit down to start, again, all was well, except by this time the pizzas were cooling down and the edge had been taken of the expectation by poor service.
Still, the pizzas were tasty and we eventually enjoyed the delayed meal.

Delivery drivers are brilliant!
We live on a hill, a side road hill which was last gritted by the council in 19dot.
Our food order from Delifresh arrived early this morning, the road is like glass but the driver still made it.
Despite sliding side ways down the hill as he crossed the road with the order he was still cheery and pleasant.
As I said, delivery drivers are brilliant.
