Hi
I used to make bread in a machine but found it soon
Went off before you could finish the loaf
I now use the machine to make plum jam when
My tree is in fruit
Neil
cheers Neil

Mmmm. Plum jam. Yum.

No beer! No booze! His Nibs forgot to refresh his crate, so he didn't buy anything for me either. He generously drank the last bottle Oh and he has a stash of whisky but I don't drink that.
Good job the shops are open tomorrow.

NO BEER!!!

That's not good Gwyn, I usually have a backup bottle of gin...

Oooo! Am I a bad influence?

As for jam and bread makers, I know it can be done, I just haven't tried it yet
Cheers, HG

If they did butter the slices would come out ready to eat.

With all this talk of breadmaking I’ll dig out the bread recipe book I was given last Christmas, there is no excuse we even have a watermill down the road which mills flour from local wheat (their largest customers are Indian restaurants for japaties apparently). However we also have a 100 year old bakery a couple of hundred yards away which can do the job much better! We are currently consuming their mince pies as fast as they are baked.

I have never watched Love Actually actually.

I was going to make another comment about someone in the news, but thought better of it.

Marginally clipped the back, passenger-side bumper when turning around in our narrow drive before heading to work this morning. These damp, dreary mornings, coupled with a cold that is prohibiting me sleeping comfortably is definitely taking its toll. Luckily it's on the plastic portion, so I'm in no hurry to get that sorted.
F...rustrated.

Annoying, but at least you know who did it and can presumably negotiate an amicable settlement with yourself.

Back in the days of the Montego, the slightest touch would badly crack a plastic bumper. Automobile plastic seems to have become more fit for purpose since then.

I'm tempted to spark him out. How dare he damage my car!

Not cooking then? What about in the evening to make up for the dire TV? whisky? or beer/ Or will you be sleeping the days consumption off on the sofa?

Only the two of us plus maybe oldest son on Wednesday. Mob here Thursday. Nice (I hope) bit of beef for dinner.
Hopefully a bottle of gin under the tree. Maybe even a bottle of tonic to go with it if I am really lucky.

A G&T would go down a treat. Might have to grab the ingredients to conjure one up soon...

I just collected my Christmas cake from the village bakery and was devastated to learn it will be the last - it is closing after over 100 years. A great source of preservative-free really delicious bread and cakes baked on the premises we will only now have the choice of mass produced stuff from the local shops and Sainsbury's, so I guess I will be revisiting my bread-making book after all. Gloom and doom.
