We are nearly €450 poorer this afternoon.
The lock on our back door broke last night, locking the dog out. His Nibs climbed over the locked side gate to rescue the dog at midnight, and called a locksmith out this morning. Major work involved in unlocking it since it was a multipoint lock. Anyway we have a new, non multipoint lock on it now, and a considerably lighter bank account.

Is anyone else getting overwhelmed by recent spam from a Chinese media corporation, offering variants on photo-editing?
I am being flooded by invitations from "David" (Return-path: bommsha-at-mail.com) or from "Harry" (Return-path: xuegao-at-mail.com). There are several daily variants but in all cases the Reply-to is to an email address that ends with sina.com
Easy enough to kill with a filter, but it's just a nuisance to have to bother to set one up.
Not as harmful to the wallet as an expensive lock repair. Sorry to hear of your troubles, Gwyn; glad to know that the dog was rescued that night.

Hows the new lock Gwyn?
And has the dog recovered from the trauma?
As for spam email, it's all quiet here, a good filter is worth it's weight in stuff...
......trouble is it also catches stuff I need so I keep having to check the dustbin!!

I am deluged with 'em. And as soon as you set-up a filter, they send another from a different address. Is anyone else getting overwhelmed by recent spam from a Chinese media corporation, offering variants on photo-editing?

The new lock works a treat, as it should for that price.
The dog is too stupid to suffer trauma from being locked out.
His Nibs on the other hand has complained about having to climb over the 1m 80 high gate to rescue the dog, and the severe damage to the bank account.
No spam here, unless it is going to my g-mail account, in which case I won't see it.
I have lots of e-mail addresses and use g-mail for things which might attract spam. Only thing it is good for.
It is more like autumn than spring here, cold wet and windy. Nasty weather all round. Very different to last years 20C!

It's a Dom Pérignon 55. It would be a pity to break it.
Too far from a shore.

Wow! That sounds delish. Don't get such things here. We don't even get Cadbury's Creme eggs here unless I trek off to a specialist shop, in Utrecht, which may, or may not have them.Oops silly me, forgot to mention it`s a Marmite chocolate Easter Egg. yum yum!
Eeuw. Just looked them up and see there is a pot noodle egg as well. Eeuw.

It has a physical and a virtual keyboard. I have the Yoga 3 11inch. brand new model, hot of the press.
I guess they just make keyboards differently for the UK, like they do for France and Germany, while we get the US one, with the benefit of a euro key.
Anyway the Yoga has finished it's updates so now I can get to know it a bit.
It is a replacement for my old Samsung netbook, which His Nibs has now converted to Ubuntu.
I hate it! Completely illogical.
