There may be a few hungover daffodil wearers heading back from France today

I expect so. It was a good win for them.

Are those the ones that died in the heat? or the ones burned in the fires? Digging the leaves away from the front door already!
I hope Autumn brings you more comfortable weather.

A whole heap of pennies if they are anything like they are here.Going to look at a new campervan tomorrow...

Good luck with the search. What type are you looking at?
We've been looking at campers. We had a look at a couple yesterday, I liked them both, but do I really want to spend that much money =/- €25000) on a 12 year old vehicle?? One that can't go into many German cities and towns? I dunno. We can have a few good trips to far flung places for that money. Ridiculous prices really. Can't afford a new one (€60,000 up to the sky's the limit), or even a young secondhand one.
His Nibs really wants one though.

I will sell you my old one
We only holiday in the UK and its our only vehicle. We are away most weekends and do holiday tours totalling about 5 weeks each year.
The current vehicle is a Devon Camargue 2 berth only 5m long. We are considering an Autocrise Jazz still 2 berth but 5.4m
We both really enjoy the lifestyle.

If the steering wheel was on the other side I might buy it!
That is exactly the sort of thing we are looking for, but they are rarer than hens teeth, and (partly due to silly taxes here) ridiculously pricey. Not as good looking as those conversions either.
I hope you find what you want, and I wish you many happy days in your van.

Thanks Gwyn, I ordered the van yesterday and collect it at Easter.. I will need to work out where to put the camera gear and start plan some nice long trips.

Sounds good Dave! Still no luck finding a camper this side of the North Sea - they are nowhere near as nice as you current and future ones over here - all German things here, and due to Dutch taxes ridiculous prices.
I have seen a couple I quite like, but they are proper campers not vans which is what I would really prefer. Both are quite short though which is a good thing. No doubt something will turn up, and if it doesn't it doesn't.
I just ordered a Raspberry Pi2 for His Nibs birthday next week. It was a Groupon deal and a good price. Hopefully he will be happy with it. He loves all that sort of stuff anyway.

Were currently saving pennies too.
Sat here in the cold while the gas man fits a new boiler, ours was condemned a week last Monday, been boiling kettles and pans for hot water and running up the electric bill with fan heaters, almost considered selling my K5 at one point
Hopefully the heating will be back on within the next couple of hours but the bank balance will be an awful lot smaller

On a regular basis. Many movies (and TV dramas etc) now are shot "in the dark" and the characters tend to mumble among themselves so I use sub titles whenever possible. sometimes they are in sync but if not it makes every movie a comedy
