1200 pages of HG's thread

I will be the first to mention BEER on page 1200 and before K10D reaches '1'

I used the washing machine today - correctly - almost pointless but no cigar

Have fun HG.Look forward to the photos.
We go back to San Francisco tomorrow, along with 2 million baseball fans. The Giants have their victory parade tomorrow
Should make getting into the city interesting.

Fly out on Tuesday, get home on Wednesday. It's been an amazing trip.

Just re-taxed the car, it's £5 more than last year and there's no proof I've done it until I get an email.

Bad idea doing away with the tax disc, it's enough to drive you to drink...

...or better still WALK to drink, after all I want to keep my licence!
Cheers, HG

We haven't had tax discs in the Netherlands for decades. Tax, vehicle registration and insurance are all linked. A few people get away with not paying tax for a while but they do end up being caught.

I find myself in a pub in the lake district with WiFi but still can't watch tonight's rugby game as there appears to be no way to access welsh TV not even on tinterweb

Anyone would think I was in a foreign country

I doubt if any of them are much good it all depends on the
quality of the coffee. A filter machine is better.... lets you
use any coffee you want including Jamaican Blue Mountain, but
you don't stand much chance of getting the genuine article.
Twenty times more than they produce gets sold in the shops
The premium coffees from any of the supermarkets are quite good.
At present I'm using Cafedirect Machu Picchu which is excellent,
but can vary.

10 years ago Flavia machines were the best and are still sold on ebay
and Amazon along with refills. I had one, but the taste of the coffee seemed
to have gone down the pan so I gave it away. Takes about a second
to make a cup.

Flavia Fusion is the home machine.

The problem with any Pod machine is that they don't
sell that many and eventually you won't be able to
get any pods. At least Flavia have a large commercial
market as well, so should always be available.

Nespresso machines are ok, but an expensive way to make coffee. Recycle the pods, and buy non Nespresso for more choice.

I have a Gaggia espresso machine, and grind my own beans. Cheaper and tastier.
